He was born September 19, 1900 at Courtois, MO., a son of the late Riley and Flaura Thomas Laramore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant brother and a great grandson, Andy Lami. Ray was united in marriage to Ollie Brakefield on May 23, 1923 in Iron County and four children were born to this union. Mr. Laramore was saved at an early age and was a faithful and devoted member of the Emmaus Baptist Church for many years. Those who remain to mourn his passing from this life are his loving and devoted wife, Ollie Laramore of Courtois; one daughter, Ina Mae (Mrs. William Setzer) of Dillard; three sons, Elvin Laramore of St. Louis, Leland Laramore of High Ridge; two brothers, Edmond Laramore of Potosi and Marcus Laramore of St. Louis; one sister, Lottie Bays of Steelville; 10 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 12 at Emmaus Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Henslee and Rev. Vernon Sherill officiating. Interment was in the Lower Indian Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Britton Bros. (Sparks) Funeral Home of Potosi. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO
