Pierce, 80, of Bonne Terre, was born May 7, 1925 at Belgrade, MO, a daughter of the late John and Leathe (Owens) Graves and died Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Mienral Area Regional Medical Center, Farmington. Mrs. Pierce was a devoted member of Desloge First Church of God. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Romie (Jim) Pierce; a daughter, Sandy Payne, and two brothers, Marvin and Everett Graves. Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Mrs. David Ray) Bonne Terre; a son, Jim Pierce, Desloge; a special son-in-law, Larry Payne, Farmington; six grandchildren, Brian Ray, Park Hills; Terrie Ray, Mississippi; Andrea Adams, Springfield, MO; Krista Brady, Farmington; Loryn Pierce, Hillsboro and Lisa Lowry, Georgia; four great-grandchildren, Kristina Ray, Rebecca Ec k, Jordan Adams and Lindsey Lowry; two sisters, Julia (Mrs. Morris Hopkins) Farmington, and Roberta Wollard, Farmington; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005 from C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel, Desloge, with Rev. Edgar Green officiating. Burial was in Bonne Terre Cemetery. Memorials were suggested to the American Lung Association. Arrangements were by C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, Thursday, July 21, 2005
