She departed this life Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at the Potosi Manor, having reached the age of seventy-eight years and three days. Gladys was united in marriage to William Thomas DeClue on August 8, 1945 in Union, Missouri, and this union was blessed with seven children. Gladys is survived by four daughters; Nora Nethington of Potosi; Zona Alexander of St. Clair; Fern Ruebling of Sullivan, and fiance' Paul Linhourst of Luebbering, Missouri, and Carolyn Courtway and husband Donnie of Potosi; two sons, William David DeClue and special friend Kathy Roy of Potosi and Gary Dean Declue and wife Donna of Marble Hill, Missouri; two sisters; Leona Hampton and Evie Wideman, both of St. Clair, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Mary Bell of St. Clair, Missouri. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband William Thomas DeClue, an infant son, Billy Joe DeClue, four sisters; Nellie Hedgecloth, Elsie Johnson, infant Emma Keen and infant Ellis Keen; two brothers, Sarch Keen and infant Harold Keen; four grandchildren, and son-in-law, Chester Alexander. Gladys will always be remembered for the love she had for her family. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed working and spending time in her flower garden. Visitation was held Saturday, May 14, 2005 from noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, Missouri. A funeral service was held Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Moore Memorial Chapel in Potosi, Missouri with Brother Lary Walburn officiating. Burial was at Redbud Cemetery, Hwy 8 west, Potosi, Missouri. Services were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
