He was born January 1, 1952 at Iron Mountain, Missouri, a son of Marvin Henson and the late Margaret (Hayes) Henson. Melvin was the husband of Donna (Hausmann) Henson and he loved to sing and perform country music. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Nash and Bobby Henson. Those who remain to mourn his passing include his wife, Donna Henson; father Marvin Henson of Mineral Point; four sons, Timothy Henson and wife Delores of Mineral Point, Jerry Greer and wife Marcie of Mineral Point; Ricky Henson of Fresno, CA and Victor Henson of Mineral Point; four daughters; Julie Gomez and husband Fernando of Fresno, CA; Karen Thornbug of Mineral Point; Brenda Hausmann and husband Salvador of Fresno, CA; Nickie Henson of Mineral Point, and Vickie Henson of Fresno, CA; three brothers, Walter Henson of Centralia, IL; Hank Henson of IL and David Henson of Fresno, CA; eight sisters, Patty Henson, Peggy Sanchez, Patricia Couras, Edith Henson, Laura Henson, Joyce Abney and Sherrie Henson, all of Fesno, CA, and Sharon Cain of Desloge; twenty-one grandchildren and one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Britton Chapel in Potosi, with Timothy Henson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Timothy Henson, Jack Cain, Michael Nash, Jerry Greer, Ronnie Hausmann and Joe Cain. Interment was in the Bellevue Presbyterian Cemetery, Caledonia, MIssouri under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, Thursday, April 28, 2005
