Villmer, 92, of DeSoto, was born September 19, 1912 at Hopewell, MO, a daughter of the late Frank and Nellie (Chapel) Thebeau and died Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at her home. She was a retired shoe seamer for DeSoto Shoe Factory. Survivors include four sons, Thomas (wife Helen) Villmer, Old Mines; Bernis (Jackie) Villmer, Kansas and Glennon and David (Mary Jo) Villmer, Union, MO; two daughters, Mary Lou (husband David) Speidel, DeSoto and Joan (Gordon) Cassady, Hillsboro; two brothers, Frank (Vera) Thebeau, Potosi and Floyd (Hazel) Thebeau, Desoto; 28 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John T. "Tony" Villmer, two sons, Charles and Gerald Villmer; a daughter, Dorothy Villmer, three brothers, Homer, Walter and Jack Thebeau and four sisters, Pearl Ketcherside, Goldie Whitter, Della Coleman and Rachel Thebeau. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2005 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, DeSoto with Father Ron Hopmeir celebrating. Burial was in St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines.
