She will celebrate her birthday with her mother, Evelyn Downard; her father, Lee Toppins; her brother, Dan Downard; grandparents, Herman "Buck" and Laura Drennen and her uncle Eugene Drennen this year. She was born on September 25, 1954 at Mineral Point, Missouri. She leaves to survive, her loving and devoted husband of 30 years, David Caldwell of Union; a sister, Kathy King and special friend Mike Heifner of Potosi; special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Leslie Wise and Rev. Wesley Kean officiating. Serving as pallbearers for Carol Sue were: Lloyd Kean, Stanley Drennen, Kenny Drennen, Richard Ketcherside, Ed Fowler and Larry Drennen. Interment and final prayers were in the New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point Route. All arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
