On March 18, 1852 she married my 3rd gr gf James A. Proffitt in Washington County, MO.. They had one known child, my 2nd gr gm Mary Ellen Proffitt b. August 1, 1854 in Washington Co.. James served as a private in Company B, 12th Missouri State Militia Cavalry Regiment and died on July 28, 1862 as a result of gunshot wounds received in battle at Greenville, MO. James was the son of Robert Proffitt and Jenny Kirkpatrick. Thanks for any info! Dave in Michigan
