He was born August 1, 1946 at Mineral Point, Missouri, a son of the late John H. and elizabeth (Vandergriff) Nash. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Charles Topppins; three brothers, Bobby, Arthur and Earnest Nash and a sister, Delores Cain. Those who remain to mourn his passing include his loving and devoted wife Virginia Nash; four sons, Leonard Nash and wife Belinda of Cadet, John Nash of Wisconsin, Virgil Cain and wife Melissa of North Carolina and Elliott Courtway of Cadet; four daughters, Mary Hoppie of Wisconsin, Michelle Nash of Cadet, Crystal Nash of Potosi and Glenda Jarvis of Potosi; a brother, Ronald Nash and special friend Theresa Portell of Cadet; four sisters, Leona Pickett and husband Henry of Cadet, Maudia Cain of Potosi, Lorene Saunders of Park Hills and Rhoda Eckhoff of Cadet; seventeen grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Memorial services for Leonard were held Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 12 noon at the Church of God and Jesus Christ, Cadet. Arrangements were entrusted to the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
