He was born on June 11, 1924 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri, a son of the late Arthur E. Griffith and Bertha (Ramsey) Griffith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Marie (Glore) Griffith on May 11, 1991 and his second wife Minnie (Clarke) Griffith on March 31, 2003. Those who remain to mourn his passing from this life are his wife Luvondia (Miller) Griffith of Mineral Point, two sons, Gary Griffith and wife Steffi of Leadwood, and James Griffith and wife Joyce of Mineral Point, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.. Funeral services were conducted at 1 PM on Monday, May 22, 2006 at the Britton Chapel, with Rev. Sally Ketterer officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Lucas Mason, Jamie Griffith, Becki Skaggs, Dan Skaggs, Jim Humphrey and Linda Resinger. Interment and finale prayers were held at the Hopewell Cemetery at Mineral Point, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted in the care of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
