She was born June 11, 1933 at Potosi, Missouri, a daughter of Helen (Rundell) Dicus and the late Willie Dicus. Wilma was united in marriage to Jimmy Skaggs on September 30, 1955 at Potosi and they shared over 50 years of marriage together. Wilma was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin and friend. She was a member of the Potosi Church of God. She loved her church and her family dearly. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her father, Wilma was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law; Jean Dicus and Mattie Skaggs; a brother-in-law, Sammy Skaggs and her mother and father-in-law, Sam and Genieve Skaggs. Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her loving husband Jimmy Skaggs of Potosi; dear mother Helen Dicus of Potosi; a daughter Judy Mason and husband Ronald of Potosi; a son, Jimmy D. Skaggs and wife Marva of Park Hills; a special ex-daughter-in-law Kenda Hopkins; her sister Dorothy Pashia and husband Oscar (Bob) of Potosi; two brothers Lawrence Dicus and wife Bonnie of Potosi and Wayne Dicus of Potosi; five grandchildren, Tammy Lawson and husband Woody, Jr.; Ronald Mason, Jr. and fiance' Camillia; Jada Klima and husband Sean; Brittney Coleman and Jacob Skaggs; five great grandchildren, Brandi Lawson and boyfriend Michael DeClue; Michelle Hayes and husband Andrew; Zachary Lawson; Dawson Chambers and Alyssa Mason; nieces; nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Brother Roger Taber officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Jerry West, Zachary Lawson, Michael DeClue, Andrew Hayes, Ron Mason, Jacob Skaggs and Derrick Dicus. Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
