She departed this life Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Crystal City, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-three years, ten months and nine days. Leona was united in marriage to James Lee "Obie" Aubuchon February 7, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri, and this union was blessed with four sons. Leona is survived by four sons, James Rodney Aubuchon and wife Zoeann of O'Fallon, Missouri; Michael Stephen Aubuchon and wife Sherrill of Troy, Missouri; David Aubuchon of Cadet and Patrick Kirk Aubuchon and Amy Williams of Desloge, Missouri; four sisters, Delores Moore of Frederick, Maryland; Avis Bourisaw and husband Tony of Columbia, South Carolina; Dorothy DeGonia of Cadet and Patricia Boyer and husband Charles of St. Peters, Missouri; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews; friends, and other relatives. Leona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Lee "Obie" Aubuchon; two brothers, Adrian Boyer and infant Teddie Boyer, and two sisters, Bernice Battreal and Alma Drozkowski. Leona enjoyed traveling and had visited many places including Hawaii, Tahiti, Washington, D.C., Florida, Branson and many other places. She also enjoyed quilting and sewing of all types, cooking, gardening and visiting with her family and friends on the telephone. Leona loved to go dancing in her early years with her husband "Obie." But the thing she loved the most was her family and spending as much time with them as possible, especially her grandchildren. Leona was a very caring and loving person who will be missed deeply by all of her family and friends. Visitation was held Monday, February 13, 2006 from 2:30 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 14, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. A funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Burial took place in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Services were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
