He was born in Irondale, Missouri January 24, 1931, a son of the late Fred Thomas and Pearl (fortune) Taylor. Buck was united in marriage to Wanda Goodson on February 19, 1952 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and to this union a daughter was born. He was a member of the Bellevue Presbyterian Church in Caledonia. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. Buck retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation at the Caledonia location. In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Taylor and three sisters, Marquita “Mae” White, Juanita “Ruth” Ives, and Winifred Geneva Martin. Those who remain to mourn his passing include his wife, Wanda Taylor of Caledonia; daughter Denise Tifenauer of Caledonia; two granddaughters, Tabitha Van Gennip and husband Chris of Advance, Missouri and Dr. Tiffany Landrum of Caledonia; four great-grandchildren, Machela Gibbons, Brianna Landrum, Josie Landrum and Amber Van Gennip; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Jerry Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Rick Lachance, Chris Van Gennip, Bob Sadler, Brian Fortner, Bill Taliaferro and Tom Taylor. Interment and final prayers were at Bellevue Presbyterian Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, Thursday, September 8, 2005
