He was born in Irondale, Missouri January 24, 1931, a son of the late Fred Thomas and Pearl (fortune) Taylor. Buck was united in marriage to Wanda Goodson on February 19, 1952 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and to this union a daughter was born. He was a member of the Bellevue Presbyterian Church in Caledonia. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. Buck retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation at the Caledonia location. In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Taylor and three sisters, Marquita “Mae” White, Juanita “Ruth” Ives, and Winifred Geneva Martin. Those who remain to mourn his passing include his wife, Wanda Taylor of Caledonia; daughter Denise Tifenauer of Caledonia; two granddaughters, Tabitha Van Gennip and husband Chris of Advance, Missouri and Dr. Tiffany Landrum of Caledonia; four great-grandchildren, Machela Gibbons, Brianna Landrum, Josie Landrum and Amber Van Gennip; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Jerry Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Rick Lachance, Chris Van Gennip, Bob Sadler, Brian Fortner, Bill Taliaferro and Tom Taylor. Interment and final prayers were at Bellevue Presbyterian Cemetery.
