She was born February 17, 1931, a daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Richard) Anderson. Minnie was united in marriage to Joseph Recar September 12, 1949 in St. Louis, and to that union five childen were born. She was a member of the Potosi Southern Baptist Church and volunteered her time at Georgian Gardens. She was a beloved wife and mother and a dear sister and friend who brought sunshine to many lives. Those who remain to mourn her passing inlcude her husband, Joseph Recar; four sons, Glen Recar and wife Mary of Cadet, George Recar and wife Julia of DeSoto, Larry Recar of Ft. Leonardwood, Mo., and Lindell Recar of Belleville, Illinois; one daughter, Lizetta Lynn Hamann and husband Bob of Cadet; two half brothers, Fred DeClue of Oregon and Joseph DeClue of Minnesota; nieces; nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2005 at the Potosi Southern Baptist Church with Rev. John Edwards officiating. Honoring Minnie as pallbearers were: Gary Richards, Sr., Gary Richards, Jr., Marlin Kubitz, Elmer Richards, Jim Smith and Raymond Recar. Interment was in New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, under the care and direction fo the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, Thursday, September 15, 2005
