He departed this life Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, having reached the age of ninety-four years, one month and ten days. Wes was united in marriage to Charlotte A. Eye in Houston, Missouri on February 25, 1942. He is survived by his wife Charlotte Duncan of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, a son, Dr. Rolin B. Duncan and wife Judy of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, Aaron Duncan and Meredith Duncan; one great-granddaughter, Piper Duncan. In addition to his parents, Wes was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne, Warren and Leslie "Les" C. Duncan, and one sister, Ora Dunca. Wes enjoyed a very full and exciting life. He loved spending time with his family and always had a smile when all would gather. He enjoyed woodworking, took great pride in flying airplanes, and loved to spend time in the fields with his cattle. He was a self-employed merchant, having owned various retail businesses in the area and was known by everyone. During the Depression Era he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. Wes was a fifty year plus member of the Potosi Masonic Lodge #131 A.F. & A.M. Prior to leaving the Potosi area he was a member of the White Oak Grove Baptist Church, Shirley, and continued his faith in the Baptist religion after leaving the area. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2005 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the Moore Funeral Home in Potosi. Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the Moore Memorial Chapel in Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Wendell Nipper officiating. Burial was in the White Oak Grove Church Cemetery in Potosi, Missouri Route. Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
