She was born in New York on December 6, 1986 and became a part of the DeClue family at the age of 6 months. Danielle or "Mimi" (as she was referred to by those closest to her) was a Senior at Potosi High School. She was a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, the Future Health Careers Club, Future Teachers of America and the National Honor Society. She was a past member of the Bible Club, the Colorguard, Cheerleading Squad and Student Council. She was a four year member of the Swing Choir and Who's Who Among Young Americans. Those who remain to mourn her passing include her parents, Rev. George and Nancy DeClue of Potosi; her fiance' Ross Asher of Park Hills; her biological mother, Nina Smiddy; her grandparentts, Delores and Bing Anderton of Idaho; three brothers, Brian DeClue and wife Sara, Eric DeClue and wife Dawn, and Jason DeClue and wife Angie, all of Potosi; a sister, Tammy Jones and husband Rev. Dwight Jones of Park Hills; nieces, Heather, Candace, Chelsea, Amanda and Maelyn; nephews, B.J., Dillian, Wayland and Devon and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her smiling face. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at the First Assembly of God Church of Potosi with Rev. Dwight Jones officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Rev. Dwight Jones, Brian DeClue, B.J. DeClue, Eric DeClue, Dillian DeClue, and Jason DeClue. Interment was in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
