Boyer of Potosi, Missouri was born in Old Mines, Missouri May 25, 1932, the son of the late Edward and Nellie (Miller) Boyer. He departed this life at his home Friday, March 25, 2005 at the age of seventy-two years and ten months. Dan was united in marriage on April 29, 1953 to Mary Catherine (LaLumondiere) Boyer and they were blessed to have two children born to this union. He is survived by a daughter, Wilma and husband Steve Medley of Sullivan, Missouri; four sisters, Theresa Golden of Potosi; Gertrude "Trudy" Edwards of Cassville, Missouri; Margaret and husband Paul DeClue of Cadet, Missouri and Edith Marler of Irondale, Missouri; four brothers, John and wife Mary Boyer of Cadet; Lawrence and wife Nelda Boyer of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Paul and wife Joan Boyer of St. Louis, Missouri and Robert and wife Mary Boyer of Cadet; four grandchildren, Crystal Medley of Springtown, Missouri; John Medley of Sullivan, Missouri and Aaron Boyer and Kaylan Boyer, both of Potosi; two great-grandchildren, Dustin Breakfield and Hannah Smith, both of Springtown, Missouri and many other relatives and friends. Dan was preceded in death by his wife Mary Catherine Boyer; a son, Ronald Boyer; four brothers, Joseph "Jake" Boyer, Lee Boyer, Edward Boyer and James Orville Boyer and also two sisters, Gladys Boyer and Mary Clark. Visitation was held 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2005 and 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at the Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, Missouri. Funeral mass was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at the St. Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Music was provided by the church choir. Burial took place at the St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery in Old Mines, Missouri on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 11:25 a.m. Services were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
