He was born November 24, 1932 in Pocahontas, Arkansas, a son of the late Sam and Hazel (Harmon) Rodgers. He was married to Wanda (Gilmore) Rodgers, who preceded him in death on February 21, 2004. In addition to his parents and wife, Paul was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Rodgers and a grandson, Mark Hendrix. Those who remain to mourn his passing include four sons, Paul Rodgers and wife Nina of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Mike Rodgers and wife Dorothy of Belgrade; Malcolm Rodgers and wife Shelly of Irondale, and Leslie Rodgers and wife Sandy of Madison, Alabama; three daughters, Brenda Kniffin and husband Ray of Belgrade, Connie Skaggs and husband Rick of Belgrade and Loretta Moss and husband David of Doe Run; a step brother, Charles Herman of Bradford, AR; twenty three grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi with Rev. Harvey Buckley officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Richard Dean Skaggs Jr., Ryan David Moss, Dustin Rodgers, Jason Anthony Rodgers, Marvin Lee Brannum and Paul Wayne Brannum. Interment was in the Hazel Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, Thursday, April 21, 2005
