She departed this life Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at her home surrounded by her loving and caring family, having reached the age of eighty-six years, three months and ten days. Lucy was united in marriage to John Bernard Politte on June 24, 1950, in Potosi, Missouri at the St. James Catholic Church. They were blessed to have four children born to this union. She is survivede by her husband John Politte of Potosi; two daughters, Catherine Ann Politte of Beverly Hills, California and Barbara Jean Duncan of Peoria, Illinois; two sons, Jack and wife Rhonda Politte of Potosi, and Dave and wife Jodi Politte of Festus, MIssouri; four sisters, Margaret Dickey of Sullivan, Missouri; Theresa and husband Lloyd Polk of Potosi; Rosemary and husband Kenneth Tutor of Springfield, MIssouri and Sister Florence Alexis Cordia of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Jimmy and wife Madie Cordia of Tustin, California; nine grandchildren, Cassie, Casimir, Jill, Jared, Jordan, Alex, Karlie, Dane and Cody, and one great-grandchild, Dunca; also a sister-in-law, Fran Cordia of Potosi and by many other relatives and dear and special friends. Lucy was preceded in death by a brother, Julius Cordia and two sisters, Hattie Coleman and Katie Nestor. Lucy was a long time dedicated member of the St. James Catholic Church Parish, Potosi. She loved assisting the Fathers, working in the church and being there for all its activities. Lucy's trust and love for her church was always the first lesson she would pass to her family. Lucy loved to take time and play Bingo. She enjoyed sewing for her family. She had a great love for her family and was always excited to h ear from the. She was always willing to cook a meal for a few or the whole gang. Visitation was held at the Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, Missouri from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2005 and 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Mondayk, March 28, 2005. Funeral Mass was held at the St. James Catholic Church in Potosi, MIssouri at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2005 with Father George galovich officiating. Music was provided by Chala Short. Final prayers and burial were in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Jared Politte, Jordan Politte, Dane DeRousse, Cody DeRousse, Casimir Rankowski, Alex Poloitte and Mark Saxton. Following the services, family and friends returned to the St. James Parish Hall where a luncheon was provided.
