She was born on July 7, 1928 in Wayne County, Missouri, a daughter of the late William and Stella Mae (Merriman) Henderson. Naomi was united in marriage to Robert John Marler January 23, 1946 at Potosi and five children were born to this union. Robert preceded her in death on December 31, 1995. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Noah Henderson; seven sisters, Ola Lee, Lola Mosier, Nola Henderson, Glonna Pinkston, Juanita Jarvis, Virginia Henderson and Rose Henderson. Those who remain to mourn her passing are two sons, Rev. Robert "Bobby" Marler and wife Jeanne of Mineral Point and Roger Marler and wife Sandy of Park Hills; three daughters, Joyce Zettler and husband John of Mineral Point, Linda Griffin and husband Larry, Sr., of Bonne Terre and Rhonda Canter and husband Dan of Neosho; twelve grandchildren, Rita (Carl) Gravett, John (Carla) Zettler, Jr., Larry Griffin, Jr., Naomi Zettler, Leanna (Bill) Luther, Jeremy (Kathy Jo) Marler, Crystal (Daniel) Settles, Brandi (Scott) Porter, Jared Marler, Andrew Marler, Shannon Marler, and Brianna Canter; fifteen great grandchildren; sister-in-law Ethel Robertson and dear friend, Cheryl Salter; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Britton Chapel, Potosi with Rev. Darrell Jones and Rev. Jim Kelley officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: John Zettler, Jr., Larry Griffin, Jr., Jeremy Marler, Jared Marler, Andrew Marler, Carl Gravett, Bill Luther and Scott Porter.
