He was born on January 17, 1933 in Potosi, a son of the late Dewey and Sarah (Rosener) Gillam. He was united in marriage to Annetta Wilkinson May 20, 1956 at Huzzah, Missouri and two daughters were born to this union. Anetta preceded him in death on January 11, 1996. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kermit Eugene Gillam. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his two daughters, Beverly Callahan and husband Dennis of Cherryville, and Kristi Wigger and husband Jeff of Farmington; two sisters, Maggie Jo Connely of St. Louis and Virginia Keaton of St. Louis; four brothers, Earl Gillam and wife Minnie of Corpus Christy, Texas, Gary Gillam and wife, Shirley of Courtois, Wayne Gillam and wife, Nancy of Jefferson City, and Carl Gillam and wife, JoAnn of Potosi; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services were held Friday, March 18, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Britton Chapel, Potosi with Rev. Michael Knight officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Dave Hedrick, Mark Beeman, Mike Beeman, Kevin Gillam, Danny Gillam, and Lyle Gillam. Interment was in the Shoal Creek Cemetery, Steelville Route, under the directon of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, Thursday, March 31, 2005
