She was born January 11, 1929, a daughter of the late William and Sarah Ann (Smith) Lamar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son; three daughters, Carol Lynn and two infant daughters; three brothers, John, Junior and Melvin Lamar; five sisters, Hattie Martin, Hazel, Thelma, Ilene and Mildred Lamar and an infant sister; one grandson, DeWayne Roux. Those who remain to mourn her passing are two sons, Bill Tripp and wife Brenda, of Bismarck and Phillip Sprock, of Richwoods; two daughters, Leona Roux of Piedmont and Phyllis Johnson and husband Kevin of Big Bear Lake, CA; one sister, Leona Pashia and husband Lawrence of Potosi; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005 at the Britton Chapel Potosi, with Rev. Elbert Mason and Rev.Roy Reed officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Jack Lamar, Mike Tripp, Jeff Roux, Mike Sethaler, Lawrence Pashia and Marty Pashia. Interment was in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, Thursday, April 7, 2005
