"Ron" Greenwood, 63, of Bryant, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, November 30, 2005. A radiant spirit Ron left time for eternity. Ron was "God's Man" on this earth. His witness for Christ was not limited to location or denomination. If you were fortunate enough to have known him, you knew his love for Christ. Ron was a barber/stylist and owner/operator of Hairloom Family Hair Design Salon in the Little Rock and Bryant area for almost 30 years, and he gave many their first haircut, and then gave their children their first haircut. His clients would drive for miles to share their triumphs and tragedies for they knew without a doubt that he possessed the ear of God. He wanted everyone to be able to afford a good cut or color. Many times he would donate his services to those in hospitals and nursing homes. Many thought of him as much more than their barber. They saw him as a member of their family. The world has lost a precious spirit. He was a member of Bryant First Southern Baptist Church over 25 years. Ron Greenwood was born and raised in Washington County. He was a Potosi High School graduate with the Class of 1960. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, T.C. and Hallie Greenwood, Potosi, and two stepsons, who admired and loved him dearly, James and John Rash. His love remains forever on earth with his surviors, wife Linda, who called him beloved and best friend; a son, Sgt. J.N. Carter, U.S. Marine Corp, Cherry Point, North Carolina, who stayed near him till the end; two sons, Rodney Clark Greenwood of North Richland, Texas and Jock Adam Greenwood of Bryant, Arkansas; the joy of his life, his grandchildren, Hallie, Jayme, Zach and Jacob; a brother George Greenwood and wife Janet of Farmington, who were by his side continully, whose love he cherished and meant the world to him in his final days on this earth, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Bryant First Southern Baptist Chruch with Dr.Jim Lagrone, Pastor, David Bond and Pastor Mike Curry officiating. Interment was in the Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family received friends at Roller-Drummond Home-Southwest.
