She was born March 4, 1952 at Mineral Point, Missouri, a daughter of Dorothy Adams and the late Clifford Adams. Vernie was united in marriage to Ray Rulo on July 22, 1972 and to this union one son was born. She was a member of the Covenant Grace Church of God at Springtown, Missouri. Vernie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, a dear and loving daughter, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. She will truly be missed by all whose life she touched. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Rocky Turner, Jr., and a brother, Roger Adams. Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her husband, Ray Rulo; a son, Tony Rulo and his wife Andrea of Cadet; mother, Dorothy Adams of Mienral Point, six brothers; Clifford Adams, Jr., and his wife Donna, Dale Adams and his wife Marsha, Darrell Adams and his wife Kim, Gary Adams and his wife Peggy, and Victor Adams, all of Mineral Point, and Donnie Adams and special friend Allison of Potosi; two sisters, Mary Battreal of Potosi and Glenda Campbell; nieces; nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, November 26, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Bobby Thurman and Rev. Steve Campbell officiating. Serving as pallbearers were her brothers: Clifford Jr., Dale, Darrell, Gary, Victor and Donnie Adams; brothers-in-law, Cleo Shepard and Danny Rulo. Interment and final prayers followed at New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point Route. All arrangements were entrusted to the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
