He departed this life Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at Saint Louis University Hospital, having reached the age of forty-nine years, two months and twenty-nine days. Ron was united in marriage to Peggy Ann Carter October 16, 1976 in Old Mines and this union was blessed with a son. Ron is survived by his mother, Virginia Lee Boyer of Cadet; son, Ronald Dale Boyer, Jr. of Potosi; two sisters, Donna Kay Boyer of Cadet and Brenda Lee Kline and husband John of Potosi; two brothers, George Michael Boyer and wife Ava and Eddie Joe Boyer and wife Janet, both of Old Mines; a granddaughter, Rachel Ann Boyer; his friends at St. Michael House, the Rural Parish Workers, and the staff of Potosi Manor Nursing Center. Ron was preceded in death by his father, George Norman Boyer; wife, Peggy Ann Boyer and two brothers, Thomas Ray and Ricky Lane Boyer. Ron enjoyed working with the Rural Parish Workers at St. Michael House and tinkering with old cars in his spare time. He liked helping with the St. Michael House Festival using his experience and knowledge to explain old mining tools and implements. Ron also enjioyed working with and raising cattle. Visitation was held Thrusday, December 1, 2005 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, December 2, 2005 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. Funeral mass was held Friday, December 2, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Mike Boyer, Eddie Boyer, Joe Boyer, Michael Boyer, Eric Boyer and Danny Cook. Burial took place in the St. Joachim Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Services were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, Thursday, December 8, 2005.
