My family is the Gibson Family. Transcribed just above the name of James Gibson in the 1830 census (see above), is the name of Gideon Wood and several Gregory families. Below is the probated will of Dorcas Gregory. James Gibson and Gideon Wood's names are listed in the probated will. ** An assumption: being listed in the probate would generally indicate some form of family association, or business or ties. To date...the tie is unknown. One possibility: A Benjamin Gregory b. 1819 Kentucky m. Lucinda Gibson. It is presumed Lucinda ids the daughter of Valentine Gibson and Mary Wyatt....they are also the parent of the James Gibson listed herein. James is my 3x great grandfather.
