Donald and PL Greenlee: Thank you for this help! What I'm trying to find reminded me of a simple converted slide show type presentation. It was in a simple story type format and referred to tiff mining, soil content and life in general during early mining days (as best as I can recall). It seems (although my memory is very fuzzy on this), that someone had either obtained it and or found it Via the State Historical Society, possibly thru the Western Manuscript collection? If this rings a bell, please let me know. I could be remembering incorrectly that it came from a mailing list. It's possible it was from a blog type list, although I seldom scan thru any of those.... At the time I saw it, 2 thoughts crossed my mind - - 1. it was interesting because I had early mining ancestors in both St Fran and Washington Co's -2. I wondered (and leaned toward) the possibility that this may have been what was referred to in regard to the mention of Frank Magre’s research/valuable slides (when he assisted Miss Valle Higginbotham in her book on John Smith -T.
