Sara Palmer was my of the civil war. Became sick and was sent home to die. Hyacinthe Florence died four year later. (d-1867). From the deeds at Washington County Mo I found that their farm was sold on the court house steps. After Florence died the childred went to live with the Roussin side of the family. Jacob Palmer, Montgomery's father di not own property, and did not have money and was not able to care for the family. I don't know if you still need this information or not. I did most of my research before, got busy and gave it to my nephew, I have just started working on it again. If you need any thing let me know and I will try and get it for you.
