Hayes, age 57, passed away at her home on North Fifth Street, Festus, Saturday, Jan. 17. Funeral services were conducted from the residence to Festus - Crystal City Baptist Church Monday at 2:00, Rev. J. E. Brown officiating. Mrs. Hayes, who before her marriage was Ida Bell Boyer, was born near Potosi. In 1907 she was united in marriage with Mr. Hayes and to them were born three sons. She joined the Baptist Church at the age of 17, and transferred her membership to the Festus-Crystal City church in 1907 , and was an active member until her death. She had been in ill health for some time and was alone at the time of her death. Mrs. Hayes leaves her husband, three sons, Wallace, Elmer, and Russell, two grandsons, Eugene and Donald, two granddaughters, Geraldine and Judith Lynn, all of Festus, one sister, Mrs. Mary Olsen, St. Louis and four brothers, Thomas Boyer of Potosi, Robert of Detroit, Mich., William and Alonzo Boyer of Herculaneum, and other relatives. Interment was in Rose Lawn Memorial Park - Tri City Independent Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, dated February 5, 1942 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
