(Jack) Politte of Hopewell, Mo. were honored March 24, 1985 with an Open House for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. The event was held at the Hopewell Community Center. The Open House was hosted by their children Joyce, Mrs. Cecil Lawson, Sr. of Irondale, Mo. and Iris, Mrs. Alvin Henry, Hopewell, Mo. Approximately 90 friends and relatives attended the celebration Their cake was beautifully decorated in gold and yellow roses. The couple wore a corsage and boutonniere of baby yellow rose buds, and were presented with a yellow rose by each of the eight grandchildren. Their daughter, Iris Henry and granddaughter, Jackie Henry, sang "Our Old Homeplace" and "You're the Only One for Me". George Politte, brother of Jack, accompanied them. They expressed thanks to all those who attended the happy event and presented the nice gifts and the money on the money tree. Charles E. (Jack Politte) and Nora Wade were married March 24, 1935 at Clear Creek by Rev. Morris Adams in his home.
