Mrs. DeGonia, 75 years old, died on August 8 at the home of her nephew, Melvin Pruitt, on Mineral Point Rt. One, where she had made her home the past seven months. In 1902 she was married to Peter DeGonia at Bliss, Mo, and they were the parents of seven children. Her husband and the seven children preceded her in death. Surviving are one sister-in-law, Lila Myers, St. Louis; one nephew, Melvin Pruitt, Route One, Mineral Point; two nieces, Ruby Cain, Mineral Point, and Shirley Courtway,. St. Louis, and other relatives. The Rev. Robert DeClue officiated at funeral services, which were at 2 p.m. on August 10. Burial was in the New Diggins Cemetery under the direction of the Sparks Funeral Home.
