The Rev. James Sweet officiated at the double-ring ceremony at 10:15. Immediately afterward a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. August Fowler in Belgrade. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cruise Shelton of Belgrade, She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Robert Worden as Matron of Honor. Mrs. Worden wore a pastel blue dress with white accessories. The former Miss Shelton chose a gown of white silk organza with chantilly lace ruffles, bouffant style in the back. The Sabrina neckline was trimmed in matching lace, also the elbow length sleeves. A crown of seed pearls held her fingertip illusion veil and she held a small white Bible, decorated with a white orchid and white satin streamers. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Lelia White and the late Cecil White of Belgrade. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John W. White of Potosi. Serving as best man was his brother, John White. All men in the wedding party wore dark business suits with white carnation boutonnaires. After a short wedding trip, the newlyweds will return to Belgrade to live. Mr. White will attend the Community College at Flat River this fall.
