Mrs. Lucas was born in Ohio on December 12, 1885, the daughter of Charles and Susan Queen Cooper. On January 21, 1903, she was married to John Lucas, who preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons and three daughters; Lee of Caledonia, Fred of East St. Louis; Mrs. Mildred Boyle of Collinsville, Ill., Mrs. Irene Bohn of Collinsville; and Mrs. Pearl Plough of Lawrenceville, Ill; 22 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Caledonia Methodist Church with the Rev. James P. Sweet officiating. Burial was in the family lot in the Caledonia Presbyterian Cemetery.
