A. "Abby" Gibson, who died at his home at 916 Stone Street in Potosi, Saturday, August 13, (1960). Mr. Gibson was the son of Robert and Parley Flowers Gibson, and was 63 years old at the time of his death. On October 26, 1917, he was married to Pearl Allen and to this union four children were born; two sons, Charles and Kenneth, and two daughters; Dollie and Mary. Surviving are his wife, Pearl; two sons, Charles of Route One, Potosi, and Kenneth of St. Louis; two daughters, Dollie (Mrs. Sterline Mitchell) of St. Louis; and Mary (Mars. Gayle Hubbard), Potosi, two sisters, Clora (Mrs. Fred Copeland) of Bourbon; and Clara (Mrs. Virgil Owens) of Shirley; 12 grandchildren; and other relatives. Funeral services were held at the Shirley Church at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 15, with Rev. Ralph Gibson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery at the direction of Sparks Funeral Home.
