Mrs. Higginbotham was born at Latty, Mo., on January 3, 1890, a daughter of Lewis and Emily Bean and was 70 years old at the time of her death. She was married to Walter Higginbotham on December 10, 1913, and to this union three children were born: Hilda (Mrs. Arthur DeClue) and Roy, both of Potosi and Wilder, who died on Easter Sunday, 1931. She joined the Pleasant Hill Christian Church in October, 1917. Surviving are her husband, Walter one daughter Hilda; one son, Roy; four grandchildren, Betty, Donald, Stanley and Wayman; one brother, Andrew and one sister, Della preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church, with the Rev. Leonard Owens of Sullivan, and the Rev. Oscar Buxton officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Smith Funeral Home in charge.
