Mr. McGuire, who was 74 years old, had suffered a stroke several months ago, and had spent some time in the Missouri-Pacific Hospital He had been Missouri-Pacific depot agent at Mineral Point for 30 years prior to his retirement, and served as Mineral Point correspondent to the "Independent Journal" for many years. Surviving are his wife, Elnora, and one aunt, Mrs. Hattie Hensley of Shreveport, La. The body lay in state at Donald Sparks Funeral Home in Potosi on Tuesday and Wednesday evening, and was to be removed to the McGuire home at Mineral Point today (Thursday). Masonic rites will be conducted there Thursday night. Funeral services will be conducted at the Mineral Point Methodist Church on Friday, with the Rev. Raymond Belfield officiating.
