She departed this life at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Crystal City, Missouri surrounded by the love and care of her dear family on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at the age of eighty-five years and nineteen days. Lil was united in marriage to Floyd James Allen June 6, 1937 in Potosi, and they were blessed to have four children born to the union. Floyd preceded his wife in death on May 28, 1997. Lil is survived by a daughter, Ruth Ann Allen and husband Ignacio Correa of Temecula, California; a son, James "Jim" David Allen and wife Chloe of Festus, Missouri; three sisters, Edith Charboneau and husband Aaron of Sullivan; Lois Reese of Farmington, and Dorothy Notgrass of Braggadocio, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Thomas Cummins and wife Jennifer of Memphis, Tennessee; Elizabeth Kay (Allen) KuyKendall and husband Larry of Jackson, Missouri, and Eric James Allen and wife DeAmbra of Herculaneum, Missouri; five great-grandchildren, Lauren and Thomas Cummins of Memphis, Tennessee; Allison and Logan KuyKendall of Jackson, Missouri and Miranda Allen of Herculaneum, Missouri and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and special friends. Funeral services were held Friday, April 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Mike Jarvis officiating. Mary was united in marriage to Freddy "Ted" Skiles on August 5, 1940 and to this union Irene Skiles was born. After Ted's death Mary was united in marriage to James William Johnson on May 20, 1943 and to this union Ava Johnson was born. She is survived by her two daughters, Irene Woods and husband James "Milton" of Mineral Point and Ava Bievenue and husband Geroge of Baldwin, Illinois; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Frederick William "Ted" Skiles and James William Johnson, five brothers; Roy, Andrew, Frank, Melvin Jack, and Eugene Joe Cain; four sisters; Martha Johnson, Ava Lechner, Ollie Cain, and Gladys Deterding and two grandchildren, Sheila Worley and Michelle Woods. Most of all she loved being a good mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. I also attended Stoney Point School 1st through 8th grade (graduated 8th grade in 53). Mrs. Cagle was a very sweet lady. I had not talked with her for several years before her death, but my sisters had attended her auction when she left Stoney Point to go live with Beverly.
Boas is not a good candidate (at least not as good as the other two - I know specifically where Boas is). I do not have YATES children identified to these parents listed. I'm thinking that the White Family Cemetery is the best bet based on location. If someone can provide me with a specific name (other than Tom or Martha YATES), I'll look it up.
