My Grandmother's sister Lelia was married to Roy Abram. I lived at Stony Point for about 30 years but have been gone from down there for quite a while now. I went to school with some of his children, and my grandmother, Bessie Bradford lived in a little house on his property. Just curious. Living in Potosi was some of the happiest times of my life!

She departed this life Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, having reached the age of eighty-three years, nine months and seventeen days. Mary was united in marriage to Freddy "Ted" Skiles on August 5, 1940 and to this union Irene Skiles was born. After Ted's death Mary was united in marriage to James William Johnson on May 20, 1943 and to this union Ava Johnson was born. She is survived by her two daughters, Irene Woods and husband James "Milton" of Mineral Point and Ava Bievenue and husband Geroge of Baldwin, Illinois; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Frederick William "Ted" Skiles and James William Johnson, five brothers; Roy, Andrew, Frank, Melvin Jack, and Eugene Joe Cain; four sisters; Martha Johnson, Ava Lechner, Ollie Cain, and Gladys Deterding and two grandchildren, Sheila Worley and Michelle Woods. Mary will long be remembered for her flower garden and spoiling Irene and Miton's dogs. She loved watching and feeding the birds, and reading her Bible.
