If anyone on the list lives in or around Potosi and has access to a newspaper, would you be so kind as to check in the next week or two to see if an obituary is posted for Gladys DeClue nee Keen. She passed away yesterday, 11 May 2005. She is my husband's aunt and we would be so grateful if someone could either transcribe the obit and email it or scan it and email it. Thank you so much. I know this is a genealogy site, but several of us went to school with Garry West. He died Tuesday and will be at Moore Funeral Home Friday evening. Then a Memorial on Saturday, May 14. I don't know what time. You could probably get details at Moore's. Garry died of cancer. He was very well liked and sadly missed. _http://www.moorefunerals.com_ (http://www.moorefunerals.com)
I'm looking for any RICHTER/RICTER/RICTOR marriages after 1930 to about 1980. The following RICHTER's were in Dent County 1930. Some of the older children moved to Mason City IL, but I don't know where Dora & the three younger children went. Dora is my grandmothers sister, & I don't know where or when she died. If anyone knows a researcher that would go to the courthouse & search for marriages of these four names, I would appreciate knowing their name & how to contact them. RICHTER Dora b.18 Feb. 1894 ...Elsie E. b.1921 ...Clifford J. b,1923 ...Thelma J. b.1925 Thanks. ...Gerry

She is a nurse and lives out near Viburnum, MO. She married Carl Gillam. Bonnie married a Price. I didn't know her husband, but he passed away a few years ago. Bonnie works at Georgian Gardens Nursing Home in Potosi. She has been there for several years. She looks much the same as she did when she was young, except that she has snow white hair. It is really pretty. I see Bill Abram and his wife Kay occasionally. They bought a house at Irondale and spend quite a lot of time down here since they have retired. I am sure that you probably heard that Bob Abram passed away a few months back. I haven't seen Ewing, Joanne or Karen for a long time, but have seen Frances Lee. Frances is not in good health. She is having a really bad memory problem.

My grandfather, Mack Abram, was brother to Roy Abram. Mack and Bessie lived on Curt's property down near the creek there and across from the Glore's. I was at a funeral once for my uncle, and one of Roy's sons had mentioned there was a family connection but didn't elaborate. He did mention that there were some family photos in the Jarvis family showing Mack and especially his wife, Bessie Bradford which I would love to see. Do you ever correspond with any of the Jarvis' in that line? I do recall having a friend Margaret Jarvis when I attended Stoney Point again in fifth grade. I believe her brother was killed in a car crash on Highway 21, but that was the only thing I remember about her except that she was really, really sweet. Our other friend was Bonnie Glore. Thank you for writing and keep telling me those stories you have. My fondest memories are in Stoney Point and I love hearing everything about the area. You are wonderful!
