    3. More information on Haunted Spring: Located on the property of Virginia Rocasco Rummel (formerly the old O'Hanlon homeplace). The spring is about 300 ft E of her driveway and maybe 100 ft S of the road. The spring has 4 ft by 8 ft walls around the entrance. If there was a building over the spring, it was gone by 1946. The old O'Hanlon homeplace was torn down about 1950. Shown on Frederick Will's 1870 map of Washington County. Located on the S side of HW 8 in NW1/4, NE1/4, sec. 17, T. 37N, R. 2E. A woman was reportedly drowned at this spring. Mike > Subject: Re: [MOSTFRAN-L] are any of the stories based on fact > Date: Sun, 22 May 2005 15:20:58 -0500 > From: "Esther M. I have been in touch with one of the Woodlock descendants & they say that all of the "haunting" stories are from people going up to the cemetery & getting drunk & telling tall tales. There is a pentogram that someone drew on the back of one of the tombstones & there were a few beer bottles laying around the day that I was there. The Woodlock descendants are very displeased about all notoriety & the authorities have been called numerous times. I was told that someone even tried to dig up Mr. Woodlocks grave. 3. This site is scary! It lists all past addresses, phone numbers, and birthdates! It even has work addresses sometimes. It can give you a satellite photo of your house! But it could be great for genealogy work. >smile> ******** Snopes says this one is true...read here: http://www.snopes.com/computer/internet/zabasearch.asp ********* A friend of mine at work sent this to me. I am sending this to everyone in my address book, and I urge all of you to do the same. Check to see if your name is in this Zabasearch database, which also includes addresses, phone numbers and birth dates. If it's there and you want it removed, send them an e-mail at info@zabasearch.com to request it. They will be launching this site in May for EVERYONE to see!!! I don't know how our names are appearing there, but I checked my own and a few other random ones, and they are all in this database! Please send this on to all your friends and family ASAP! To check, log on to www.zabasearch.com. After opting out at info@zabasearch.com by email I guess the only way to know for sure you have been removed is to check back a few days later. This is unbelievable.
