When I think of how much time you spent researching the families when you had to do it the hard way...! Being one of those "I have to see it for myself" researchers, I went to the microfilm and made myself a copy. I have a question. Were you ever able to gain access to the St. Michael's liturgical records. It seems that they will not allow anyone to see the records for any reason. 2. Hi CeCe, No I haven't seen the St Michael's records, Madison Co, MO? Your are right about how much easier genealogy is today, than in 1975 when I started. Ed Mackey will soon be placing thousands of area obits on his site. I have been hoarding these obits for many years and realized the best thing to do with them was to share them with other area researchers via Ed's obit site. Over the years I have sent Ed many obits for his site, however, this will be the mother lode. Barbara in Georgia [email protected] May God Continue to Bless America!

I would love to be able to find some more proof on this one. Of all my unknown Boyers - he is the one that has befuddled me the most for years! I have Derville Boyer b 05 Apr 1822, m. Mary Golden 1851 at St Joachim as a son of Jean Bte & Aurora Ste. Germain. I think this is perhaps the brother D. Boyer, aka your Donatian Edward? You can email me at [email protected] if you want. I figured they wouldn't appreciate a response from me, since our parting of the ways. I, too, once thought Henry/Andre Boyer was the son of Antoine Boyer and Marcellite Page, until I stopped and looked. Their son Henry was born in 1835. The Andre/Henry married to Celeste Tangue married in 1847. He would be but 12 years of age. Then I went back to look at the marriage record and the witnesses. Signing as witnesses are J.B. Boyer, a D. Boyer, C. Boyer, several Tangue names and Antoine Riendo. Those names correspond to the 1850 household of the Widow (Marie) Aurora (St. Germain) Boyer, widow of Jean Baptiste Boyer (J.B. Boyer). She and JB had a son Donotian/Donatian Edward (D. Boyer?) and living in the household in 1850 is her adult grahdson, Antoine Riendieu, Riendo. Additionally I have in my notes that Jean Baptiste Boyer and Marie Aurora St. Germain did have a son, Andre, born in Ste. Genevieve about 1819. This will need verification, of course. It gives me another avenue to check on in my research. I will look for a Baker marrying a Small, for one thing. I do have a Felix Boyer married to Martha (Golden) in the 1900 Census (forgive me, I'm going by memory, don't have my notes right now) married for 9 years with a son Noah born 1876, so not Martha's son. She has a child from her first marriage listed also (Sansaucie?). This Felix may or not be the same one. Can't find Felix and Rose Ann/Rosanne in 1880. I wonder if she died. From what I can put together, she might have been a young widow, whose name I found on a Marriage Record for 1 May 1872. Felix Boyer was married to Mrs. Rose Ann Small in Washington County by John (?) Boyer, Justice of the peace. I don't know which Felix Boyer (there were at least two I believe). Rosanne Small was living with I.M. Michael (Israel/Isreal Mitchell) and his wife Virena/Verna (Small) Mitchell in the 1870 Census for Belleview, Washington County. Israel Mitchell was my 3rd great grandfather. Thanks, Cindy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
