    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: VANCE, LAWSON Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/lNB.2ACI/3959 Message Board Post: Joseph Lawson married Mary Vance in 1908. According to the cemetery records that are online, Mary died in 1923. Nelson Lawson married Nora Vance in 1912. At some point, Nora Vance Lawson married Joseph Lawson. Joseph, Mary and Nora are all listed in the Furnace Creek Cemetery, Washington Co., MO. online. <http://www.rootsweb.com/~mowashin/cemetery/furnace.html> This is where I found that Nora married Joseph [which could be incorrect. I believe his date of birth is incorrect as he supposedly was over 21 in 1908 when he married Mary.]. Nelson is listed on the Sutton Farm Cemetery, Washington County, MO. web site <http://www.rootsweb.com/~mowashin/cemetery/sutton.html> but there aren't any dates for him. I would like to find out when Nora's 2nd marriage (to Joseph Lawson) took place. I would also like to find out which children were hers with her 1st husband, hers with her 2nd husband and which were Mary's children with Joseph. I have found several of the Lawsons in the online cemetery records, but some of the children are listed as children of Nelson and Mary, which I believe to be incorrect. There were a lot of children in this family. One was Hester (Lawson) Woods and her obituary is on this message board at <http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=message&r=rw&p=localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.washington&m=901> which list her many siblings. This has me going in circles. Has anyone researched this family? I could use some help. Thank you!!

    1. Lucy Wallen 1897
    2. I was at the new Antique Mall in Arnold (formerly the Aldi's on Jeffco by Arnold Auto Parts), They don't have a lot in their store yet, but they are pretty reasonable. I have a card that shows the address as 540 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, Mo. 314-853-8359 This is not an Arnold phone #, but they are owned by another antique mall on Big Bend. They are closed Monday's, open Tuesday - Sat 10-6 and on Sun 12-5 I saw 2 pictures on the wall, 2 different men and it looks as if they were painted. They were in Booth 3 on the wall, left side of building when you walk in. They appear to be around the size of 16 X 20 canvas. The lady there said they were around 30 X 26 1/2". On the bottom left of the paintings someone had written: "Lucy Wallen 06/12/1897" I looked at the Census and see there was a Lucy Wallen in Iron and Washington Co. If you get a chance, you might want to check it out. Thank you, Sharon (Hartzell) Smith

    3. I have pictures of the Wallen tombstones in the Wallen Cemetery here in Washington County. There is one of a Lucinda Wallen. I also have some of the Wallen family history & a picture of the Wallen Loom built in 1816 on the same page. Unfortunately I no longer have the email address for the person who asked me to photograph the tombstones - a computer crash took care of that. http://carrollscorner.net/SitesWashCo_WallenCemetery.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: SSmith3901@aol.com To: MOWASHIN-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, June 28, 2005 6:04 PM Subject: [MOWASHIN-L] Lucy Wallen 1897 I was at the new Antique Mall in Arnold (formerly the Aldi's on Jeffco by Arnold Auto Parts), They don't have a lot in their store yet, but they are pretty reasonable. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: STANGE, MILLS, TURNEY, DECLUE, HORTON, PORTELL, BARTON Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lNB.2ACI/3952 Message Board Post: Thomas Eugene Mills of Irondale, Missouri, was born February 1, 1960 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son of Kenneth and Mary Ellen (Stange) Mills. He departed this life at his home on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the age of forty-five years, four months and ten days. Tom was united in marriage to Peggy Turney at the Potosi Presbyterian Church by Rev. Edward Horton. They were blessed to have twenty-five plus years and two lovely children together. Tom is survived by his dear and loving wife Peggy Mills of Irondale; one daughter, Alisha Stephanie DeClue and husband Login of Park Hills, Missouri; one son, Ryan Thomas Mills and wife Cassandra of Irondale; father, Kenneth Mills and friend Myrtle Duncan of Potosi; two sisters, Mary Ann Horton of Belgrade and Debra Portell and husband Gary of Tipton, Indiana; one brother, Robert "Bob" Mills and wife Judy of St. Louis; one very special granddaughter, Rachel Barton; mother-in-law, Stella Turney of Irondale, Missouri and by many other relatives and dear and special friends. Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Mills; a brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Mills, a brother-in-law, Jesse Horton and father-in-law, Charles Turney. Tom had a great love for his family and each of them held a very dear and special place in his heart. His eyes would sparkle when his granddaughter would walk into the room. He always had time to visit with each of them. Tom admired his cars and took great pride in all his restoration projects, you would never know what he might come driving or riding by on. He loved to spend many hours in the garage re-doing, tinkering or mastering some project for himself or someone else. Tom always enjoyed taking trips on his motorcycle and traveling through the back roads admiring the scenery or waving to a stranger as he passed. Tom enjoyed his time at the house tinkering and fixing up things and working in the yard. He most enjoyed walking around the year or being by the pond with his two ducks. It was not unusual for the ducks to go looking for him or "quacking" on the porch for him to come out. Visitation was held Sunday, June 12, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, June 13, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, Missouri. Funeral services were held Monday, June 13, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Moore Memorial Chapel in Potosi, Missouri, with Pastor Melvin Mead and Pastor Ronnie D. Raven officiating. Burial was at Red Bud Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 8 West, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Chris McKee, David Simily, Mark Merill, Bill Heartless, John Mills, Jimmy Warford, and Ryan Mills. Services were entrusted to the caare and direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, June 16, 2005
