Does anyone know anything about this Miller? FREDRICK MILLER died October 1, 1859 in Washington, Missouri. He married JOAHANA MARILA MARZ February 13, 1840. She was born January 15, 1815 in Prussia, and died February 1889 in Arcadia, Iron County, Missouri. The family bible has an entry recording the death of Frederick Miller. It begins "Frederick Miller is dead". It is written in Old German and in pencil. My German speaking contact could not read it. The date is clearly October 1859. The bible was published in New York City in 1844 and is Dr. Martin Luther's version. It is also in Old German. There was a comment about the fact that "Miller" was not normally a German name at that time. It would have been "Mueller". Is this family really German?
