    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: STROUP, GOODSON, PRICE, WILLIFORD, HARRISON, WALLACE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lNB.2ACI/4166 Message Board Post: Everett Lee "Red" Goodson of Bismarck departed this life Friday, December 9, 2005 at the Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Missouri, having reached the age of 66 years, 3 months and 28 days. He was born August 12, 1939 in Belgrade, Missouri a son of the late William Estel and Ella (Stroup) Goodson. He was united in marriage to Edna Price January 13, 1958 and to this union four children were born. Red took on the responsibility of taking care of his family, and he used the remainder of his life to do exactly that. He soon began a job with Alvey Conveyor in St. Louis, MO. This job turned into a 38 year career. His service with the company earned him much respect and administration from friends and co-workers. Red had a passion in life; hunting, fishing and family. However, he could not enjoy the first two without the third. He was the happiest when he was hunting and fishing with his family. These experiences provided memories and life lessons etched into their hearts forever. We could all learn a valuable lesson from the life of Red. Regardless of the situation he was always looking to help others. This selflessness and compassion for helping others is something every man should learn. Red made things right with the Lord sometime ago, and he knew where he was going. The family knows he is in a better place. They also know that there will be no more pain and suffering. RED IS FINALLY HOME. In addition to his parents, Red was preceded in death by two daughters, Rhonda Goodson and Norma Lee Williford and a sister, Lela Harrison. Those who remain to mourn his passing include his wife of 47 years, Edna Goodson of Bismarck; two sons, Everett Goodson and wife Martina of Potosi and Terry Goodson and wife Kelly of Bismarck; three brothers, John Goodson and wife Winona of Palmer, Kelly Goodson and wife Karen of Belgrade and William Goodson of Springtown; a sister, Betty Wallace of Potosi; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Joe Gensler and Rev. Kenny Gamble officiating. Interment and final prayers were held in New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point Route. All arrangements were entrusted to the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
