    2. Bob & Rosemary Emnett
    3. Folks, Several weeks ago, I posted information about St. Louis Genealogical Societys Annual Fair, titled Coming Home, to be held on 8 April, at Maryland Heights Center. Details about this event, including schedule and program, can be found at http://www.stlgs.org/fair.htm When the Society rolled out its completely redesigned and expanded website on 29 January, the e-commerce facets were inactive. Now, most of that is up and running. So, you can register online at the above webpage. Also, this year's lectures will all be audio taped onto CDs - $15.00 for one, $185.00 for the complete set of 15 lectures, postpaid. Those can now also be purchased online at http://www.stlgs.org/fairCds.htm Bob Emnett Research Director St. Louis Genealogical Society

I would like to order your book, right now, but it is the weekend and there is no obvious procedure to order at the web site for your publisher, Creative Continuum. Is the book still available? (Incidentally, I have a framed 16 x 20 B/W portrait of Pascal, with handriting on the back naming his spouse, their children, and their children's wives and children. I received the portrait from my aunt, Mary Agnes "Gean" Bourbon Weiland, d/o Walter and Josephine, who probably wrote the names on the back. I can provide a copy, if you want one.) Tom Bourbon

Thanks - mulling over, twisting and turning. Trying to figure it out. I think Samuel is her father and probably Jane Isgrigg is the mother. That would explain all the Jane names the family remembered. Started with most of info. I had about this generation by asking family in the 1960s. They are mostly dead, now, or incapacitated. While their recall wasn't perfect, it amazes me how much they did get right. Here's a suggestion about the 1850 Census. It's speculation, but there is other family history to suggest it. It may be possible that William Isgrigg went off to the California Gold Rush [note there were no children born from 1843 (by 1860 census) or 1847(by my notes)-1854]. It is possible that when 1850 came around, Violet figured he was dead (or at least not physically present to be H of H), and so she claimed to be H of H herself. I know we had two other lines - one of which went off to the gold fields with a Robinson and several other men. Mr. Robinson found gold there, but no one else. He paid for everyone's way back. I have that info. in my notes at home, but am doing hospice with my 94 yo mother right now and haven't access to anything but field notes. Thanks again. I know it will eventually all pan out (pun intended). GK

Yes, Jane (our family listed her as Nancy Jane) did marry Henry Mitchell. Their daughter Mary Jane Mitchell then married Pinkly (or Pinckney) Brittle Hill who was the middle husband of Mary Eilizabeth Isgrig (who family thought was Elizabeth Jane). Mary Elizabeth and Levi Mitchell named one of their sons Pinkly Mitchell. I thought Samuel Silvers was the father of Violet Silvers, but I couldn't prove it. I have a possible Marry A. as his wife, however, not a Jane Isgrig. If Samuel is correct, he is possibly the son of James Silvers b. 1780 in the same area of what is now Missouri. I have a birth date of 18 March, 1835 for Mary Elizabeth. I am realatively sure that is accurate, but do not have all my notes with me (just the synopses to work with). The 1860 Census gives me some information to chew on. I will have to see if I can get it straight. Family history has it that Susan Isgrig was a real H_ll raiser (and had 6 or 7 sisters). Mary Elizabeth Isgrigg Mitchell Hill Birchfield moved to Monahans, Texas. I found a book on Monahans which had a picture of her in it. Thanks again. Let me get back to my notes and see if I can get things organized. Ginny-Kay
