Greetings, I am new to the list and have found that I have two connections (at least) to people in Vernon Co, MO. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone with the slightest tidbit on these families. Talley: Daniel Talley died there in 1879 and his wife Sarah died in 1889. Both are buried in Montevallo Cem, Vernon Co, MO. I'm seeking information on them and their siblings. Where and when did Paulina Talley who m. Ben Canterbury die? When and where dis Juda Talley who m. Wm. Haines die? I know Mary who m. James Dickson is buried in Montevallo Cem. Where there other children? Any other Talleys in the county? I would love to know about any of them...all of them. Trent and Dove: My George H. McCoon m. as his sec. wife Julia Dove Trent in 1870 Vernon Co, MO. She was formerly married to an Andersonville POW. They thought he was dead, but after the marriage he submerged. As a result I do not know if her surname was Dove or Trent. I have other Trents in other Missouri counites, but do not know if they relate. NOR do I know her 1st husband's name. Does anyone have a Julia missing from their Dove or Trent lines? She ended up in California via KS, OR, WA. I would appreciate ANY and all info on Dove ant Trent in the area.
