    3. Hello, Maybe I can help a little on this one. I made a trip to Vernon Co. last August in search of WEBB Family that resided there. They resided in what used to be Clayton, MO just prior to the 1900's. When I got there I couldn't find Clayton so I went into a small Post Office west of Nevada and inquired as to where it was. The lady working the office that day said that Clayton was renamed to "Eve" several years ago. Approximately 6 miles east of Ft. Scott, KS (on Highway 54) is a road sign that says Ft. Scott 6 miles (onto the west) and Eve 1 mile (to the south). Eve is a very small community. I honestly don't remember seeing a population sign. In Eve is a small white church with a tall steeple that has a sign out front "Clayton Christian Church". I was told the church is all that still bears the name of what was formerly Clayton, MO - now Eve, MO. Hope this helps on Eve. Sorry I can't help on the cemetery.
