It appears that the Beard family also came from eastern Illinois to western Missouri. I was told that there was work in the area with the coal mining strip pits. I too would love history of the area and others who came this way. I'm sure there were families that traveled together to the area, and most likely were neighbors. Anyone else with info on the area?
