Three families were living in Montevallo Twsp., Montevallo in 1860 census: one Jeremiah BIBBINS, wife Mary Jane & 6 children; one G.A.J. MILLS, wife Esther and 5 children; and one Colin WILSON & wife Nancy. BIBBINS & MILLS moved from Jefferson Co. TN in late 1850s, and I believe Mary Jane Bibbins and G.A.J. Mills were sister & brother; Colin Wilson lived next door to J. Bibbins, any previous relationship is unknown, but J. Bibbins did name one of his children Colin Wilson Bibbins. J. Bibbins & family moved on to Kansas after Civil War; a son of G.A.J. Mills, Jackson, became a soldier from MO in the war.
