    1. Bibbins/Mills
    2. David McCAIN
    3. Three families were living in Montevallo Twsp., Montevallo in 1860 census: one Jeremiah BIBBINS, wife Mary Jane & 6 children; one G.A.J. MILLS, wife Esther and 5 children; and one Colin WILSON & wife Nancy. BIBBINS & MILLS moved from Jefferson Co. TN in late 1850s, and I believe Mary Jane Bibbins and G.A.J. Mills were sister & brother; Colin Wilson lived next door to J. Bibbins, any previous relationship is unknown, but J. Bibbins did name one of his children Colin Wilson Bibbins. J. Bibbins & family moved on to Kansas after Civil War; a son of G.A.J. Mills, Jackson, became a soldier from MO in the war. I would appreciate hearing from anyone connected with or knowing anything about one or more of these families. Thank you. Eleanor McCain 70461.221@compuserve.com Concord, NH

    3. Amanda, I have; Missouri Genealogical Records and Abstracts, Vol. 5 ; 1755-1839. I imagine each volume covers a series of years. This book was written b Sherida K. Eddlemon and is published by Heritage Books, Inc. Vernon County, if I am not mistaken, was formed after the years my book covers. Heritage has a website I believe. Or you could check for these tiltles in your library. 2. Chrystal Talbott
    3. Hi, I'm new, so wanted to let ya'll know what surnames I'm working on. They are Amos and Crane/Crain. My ggg grandparents were Aaron "Proctor" and Amelia Amos Crain. They were from Kentucky, moved to Vernon County about 1859. (They married in Clinton County in 1851) Amelia died between 1860 (after the census) and 1867. Proctor Crain and their four known sons are back in Hart County Kentucky for the 1870 census. (he is listed as a widow on the 1880 census) I'm trying connect a Joseph "Underwood" Crain as a brother to Proctor. Underwood Crain was married to Amelia's sister Mary. Please let me know if anyone is working on these lines. Thanks Chrystal in Tennessee

    1. QExpress for Vernon Co., Missouri ( WOODWARD BEAN WILLIAMS FELTNOR MABRAY )
    2. Wayne Lindsey
    3. Bean: This is a name that connects, somehow to the Charles D. Lindsey family and George M. Lamkin family who lived in MO; around the Vernon Cnty, MO area from abt 1860 until C.D. Lindsey died abt 1911. C.D. Lindsey's son, John Charles md. Eunice Mildred Lamkin, daughter of George M. Lamkin and they lived first in MO, then TX, then Greer Cnty, TX (OK) and Harmon, OK. Later moving to Ark around Greenland and Fayetteville, Ark. This is where one of their sons married into the Blackwell family in Arkansas, John Wesley Blackwell's daughter. After the Lindsey family moved to Wellington, Parker Cnty, TX, I assume is when correspondence was received by Mr. Lindsey from a man and wife by the name of Bean. It was an angry letter, there appeared to be a misunderstanding about how "Old Mr. Blackwell" was being cared for. If Vernon Lindsey thought he could do it better, then he could just pick him up and do it himself was the "jest" of the letter. I assume that somehow the Blackwell family may tie into the Bean family but I don't yet know how!! Any information connected the these families would be appreciated. Shirley A.
