Information was posted for those who may be researching this surname. Vivian Geraldine Mouser, 80, passed away peacefully at Delmar Gardens South on Monday, September 18, 2017. She was born October 12, 1936 to Roy & Grace (Evans) Griggs in Shirley. Vivian marred John F. Mouser on August 1, 1959. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children; Martha (Terry) Stephens, DeSoto; Marvin (Debbie) Mouswer, Nashville, TN; grandchildren; Mark (Jessica) Stephens, DeSoto; Matthew (Danielle) Mouser, Lynchburg, VA; Susan (Daniel) Ferrell, Pevely; Amanda Mouser, Nashville, TN; Megan Mouser, Jackson, TN; brothers: Delbert (Shirley) Griggs, Potosi; Rolla (Jeannie) Griggs, Potosi; and numerous nieces and nephews. Vivian enjoyed sending cards to people which she continued to do after many years of sending cards for the Joy Makers, First Free Will Baptist Church, DeSoto. She sent thousands of cards over her lifetime and many people knew she was sick when they no longer received their cards and will miss her thinking of them. In lieu of flowers, Vivian selected two things closed to her for donations. Joy Makers, First Free Will Baptist Church, 1401 South Fifth St., DeSoto, MO 63020 or John & Vivian Mouser Scholarship at Welch College, 1045 Bison Trail, Gallatin, TN 37066 (please note for Mouser Scholarship.) 3. Oh yes, I would love pictures of their gravesites.  I will "invite" you to my Ancestry family tree. Gerald Mouser's books are quite good; very thorough in most genealogies, though he didn't have my MI line for the first book. He found me online and he had it for the second book!!!!!  The first book is about Germany and their emigration and where everyone from first and second generation went; second book is on Civil War Service---almost 60 Mousers from our line served, iincluding my gt gt grandfather!!!  I have copied and pasted his announcement and contact info:  I have completed my book on the Mousers in the Civil War:"In Defense of Heart and Home... Our Mouser Ancestors in the Civil War". The book relates the story of the Civil War years, including the fifty-four  Mouser descendents who served during the war. To give you an idea of the content and style of the book, I have attached  1) the table of contents and prologue from the book, and 2) an excerpt (dealing with the battle of Fredericksburg) from one of the chapters.  (Attachments are PDF files.  If you have trouble opening or viewing these let me know.) If you are interested in obtaining a copy, please let me know.   The cost is $40.00 per book, which covers the cost to print, bind and mail the book. If you know of others who may be interested, please feel free to forward this email to them. Thank you. Gerald F.
